Is there a way to mark all messages "read" when there are no new posts without opening each one?

Ummm - for me, the tread title is in boldface if there are unread posts, and not otherwise.

I know that. I am looking for a way to remove the bold lettering in all messages after I have read the ones I want to

Within each forum listing, at the top/right is a drop down box 'Forum Tools' - Just select ' Mark This Forum Read'

You can also mark the entire forum as read by using the button at the bottom of the main forum index page.
