Hello,

So I hate Vista and a coworker just upgraded to 7 ultimate and i gave him some adobe products so he gave me a copy of windows, I just redid my computer today, I selected the option that deletes everything and starts you out with a fresh harddrive. I clicked so it would start as i left for work this morning, i get home from work and its done, so i grab my external so i can start throwing things on the computer, and my harddrive has 60 gbs free which is what it was this morning....why didnt it delete the partition? I have no access to any of the programs and i rebooted to see if it kept it so i would have dual operating systems and nothing...im lost, any suggestions?

thanks!

You need to tell it to delete the partition during install. It's outlined in the install instructions.

I don't hate macs or OSX, I hate people and statements that portray them as better than anything else. Macs are A solution, not THE solution. Get a good desktop i7 with Windows 7 and come tell me that sucks for photo or video editing.

Well, you don't delete the partition persay, but you DO need to manually format it.

You can format partitions too, but I think OP said he had two partitions already, and that he wanted to clean out the drive. For that, you need to delete the partition, then install. If he still wanted both partitions, the easiest way is to delete them all, then repartition. That will automatically prompt you for a reformat of each side.
