Charging Hours for NP-E3 Battery(3rd party)

I have a brandnew NP-E3(after market) battery for my 1D and 1D2.Just want to ask how many initial charging hours for a a brand new battery pack such as NP-E3?I havn't tried to charge a brand new one since both my 1D bodies are pre loved and and so with the batteries.Does it go with the normal 8hrs charging?
