Well I know that I like it but what about you all? I've been trying something different with my processing. No, I didn't take the processing idea from Dave Hill, I'd actually not heard of him until after I started processing this way. I'm not trying to imitate his stuff.
So C&C the photo and the processing for this one.

Nikon D300
Tamron 28-75 2.8 (can't remember what focal length - between 35-60mm)
Shot at f/20 @ 1/250 sec
SB-900 shot into a silver umbrella behind me for rim light @ 1/32 power
SB-600 shot through a snoot camera right about 10-12' away @ 1/64 power

should be a easy pp for the stand. Looks good tho. I like it. Kinda wish his head wasn't cut off, and a little rim light around the head wouldn't hurt.

She probably wouldn't have left if you were a Canon shooter. All kidding aside I like the mood that this image envokes. Nicely done.

lol nice stan!
I like the feel of this too. I sorta feel like it might be too blue-ish? I don't know. I feel like it should be more of a ol sepia/worn down look....But i like it overall.

I felt the same way so I did one with a warmer tone to it. I don't have it on my work computer but I'll post it when I get home.

Thanks, Stan. She's actually a Canon shooter herself. I'm the black sheep in the family

too contrasty for me, but that's probably because you're using a nikon on a Canon forum. Can't you find nikon forums instead of going out of your brand for a forum?

I hope you are joking.

Pretty nice photo, have one taken from a higher angle?

Man this picture really speaks volumes; excellent work

I agree about the crop - i think some negative space may work well here.
