Have not done a side by side comparison to my Canon grip, but looks a lot like it. I did notice the rubber smell when the sealed package was opened, but the Canon grip was in a non air tight box, so it might have gassed off. As long as it works, I'm happy! ...it's just a hobby....it's just a hobby......it's now a illness!
