Got mine today from UPS also... but i am having a strange problem. With the grip, the camera powers off and on by itself. Without the grip it works fine.

Already cleaned the contacts.

Going to fully charge both batteries and see if thats the problem. If that doesn't work, going to revert back to stock firmware vs the CHDK hack and see if that fixes it.

Anyone else having problems?

USPS? I have never received anything from amazon through them, maybe because I have prime I am not sure

I don't buy enough from them to justify paying $79 a year. I just don't buy anything from them that isn't a great buy or that I'm in a hurry for.

Could someone post some pictures of the grip on the camera? Does it look exactly like the original (except of course for the way batteries are inserted)?

I will as soon as I get it if someone doesn't beat me to it.

You will need a magnifying glass to read what they call the manual. Fortunately they have it online so you can actually see it.

You're welcome. I have to say this works very well and couldn't beat the price. I like being able to use AA NiMH batteries since I have a ton of them. Thanks again to the OP for posting this.

Yes, thanks to the OP. I bought one for my daughters XT. Have not done a side by side comparison to my Canon grip, but looks a lot like it. I did notice the rubber smell when the sealed package was opened, but the Canon grip was in a non air tight box, so it might have gassed off. As long as it works, I'm happy!

Got my replacement today, first experience with Amazon return and it was soooo painless. The new grip works just fine. Looks like i just got a bad grip the first time. Can't go wrong for $25
