I got up early in the morning to try some photos from the tide pool area in Cambria. I could definitely stay here all day trying different perspectives. :) C&C appreciated. Thanks!

Filters used:
Singh Ray Color Combo and 3 stop Reverse GND hand held.

Pretty sweet man. Great tonal range, no blown out highlights.

How does that reverse GND work for you?

This is just fantastic. My first thought was to lift some shadows selectively in the foreground but the more I look at it, the less I think that would be the right call. Very nicely done here.

Very Nice. I love the way the rocks lead your eye into the image.

Cambria California no less ... north of Morro Bay and south of Big Sur ... nice job framing and exposure. My only comment is that I think you could selectively sharpen the rocks in the foreground and get even more mojo out of this image ... :)

it also appears that you may have burned the sky down including the rocks close to the sky (fairly common approach). A mask could preserve the balance of the rocks while delivering the necessary adjustment to the sky.

Thanks Nic. The reverse GND is defintely working out well for me. For this photo, I used the hard portion and used it to burn the horizon. Since it was a 30 second exposure, I used a trigger and held the filter in front of the CPL. I feathered the GND during the exposure with small movements as to avoid seeing the grad line.
You should get this filter Nic. It's really worth the money. :)
