I think that shows how our attitude towards the world around us has changed over the years. So as a history piece it shows well that as a species we can show a distinct lack of compassion in what we do in the search for entertainment. 5D | 40D | Σ24 f1.8 | 50 f1.8 II | 85 f1.8 | 70-200 F4L | 540EZ x2 | Nissin Di622

It has been summarily wiped and replaced with the much improved top-hat-and-monocle version. Score one for style. ••Vancouver Wedding Photographer

However, I do volunteer for a marine mammal and sea turtle rescue organization. It gives one an appreciation that species lower on the phylogenetic tree do have intelligence and needs that deserve recognition. So the image does bother me in principle. However, as you mentioned, it is an archival print from an under-the-bed shoe-box collection. It has worth, if only from a historical perspective, perhaps even to illustrate the subjugation theme that I mentioned. But for casual or entertainment use, I would try to minimize the circumstances under which the shot was taken and lose the chains. Fair enough? Sesquipedalianism lives!!!
