I am setting up a makeshift studio in my living room. I am on an extremely low budget. I have 2 spot lights, made up of incandesant bulbs in metal reflective shields. I use one as a main and the other as a fill. The only flash I have is on camera. I built a back drop out of PVC pipe and use sheets and a drop cloth as a backdrop.

Now, the wall on the left of the backdrop is all mirror. Is there anyway I can use the mirrored wall to my advantage such as bouncing the light and/or flash. I'm not really sure if mirrors act the same as reflectors. Or should I come up with another location for my "studio". I could set it up with mirror behind the backdrop but I sacrifice a lot of space that way. Any ideas/suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you,
Sean

A mirror is going to give you a very harsh light. You may want to try defusing it by hanging a piece of white nylon over the mirror.

You could use the mirror, but it will be a PITA.

How many watts?
Personally, I'd just add another light from the back on their hair.

Sorry it took so long to respond. I have been very busy. I've used everything 35 from watt fill to 100 watt main and everything in between.
