I've recently been on a little trip to South Africa and took the opportunity to go and cage dive with Great Whites. Wildlife photography isn't really my thing but there is that much wildlife down there that you can't really help yourself so here are a few of my efforts which I hope you all enjoy.

The last one I'm quite pleased with considering it was shot with a cheap disposable waterproof camera! I'll put this down to a great example of luck instead of judgement.

Thanks everyone. As an experience I can definitely recommend it and certainly I want to do it again. Surprisingly I wasn't too fussed about the cage diving bit, sure it was pretty amazing getting that close to a shark but nothing beats sitting on the boat and suddenly have a shark breach right in front of you!

It's also interesting how different the sharks are, I booked 2 days to make sure it wasn't ruined by bad weather and on the first day the sharks were really active and constantly breaching. On the second day there were just as many sharks but they seemed more cautious and didn't pop out of the water as much.

I saw plenty of other wildlife in South Africa despite only being there a short time so I'll post some more shots soon.

Excellent. This is an opportunity of a lifetime...

Some good B/W treatments on these shots would increase the sense of drama even more.

Those things are nightmare-ish. I am scared to death just thinking of seeing one in the flesh, even if I'm on a boat.

But still, I appreciate the photos, well done.

Very cool shots and incredible experience. Wow! It isn't on my ToDo list, however. :)
