This might be a stupid question...

Im in Australia...looking to buy CS4 outright (my CS3 purchased a year ago from ebay turns out to be a copy:rolleyes:).

Adobe Australia has it at $1415
Adobe USA has it at $699 (approx $780 AUS)
B & H has it at $589.95 (approx $660 AUS)

Is there any reason why i cant buy it from Adobe USA for nearly 1/2 price....or better still from B & H??

Will i have a problem at a later date if i want to upgarde...or when i register the product? I just cant see how Adobe can have the big price difference between the two online stores?

Has anyone brought from Adobe USA here in Australia?

Wow, that really seems like a very wide price difference. I would get it from B&H, with shipping it will be very much cheaper. You could email Adobe Aus and Adobe US to find out if there are any issues, but I wouldn't think so.

I got mine from Amazon...I don't like CS4. They took out the simple yet streamlined PDF presentation feature. They want you to buy Acrobat Pro for another $200 or something. Ripoffs.

I am only speculating here, but I would say if you purchased an Adobe US version rather than an Adobe Australia version, when it is time to upgrade you would also have to upgrade through Adobe US. I would definately take tvphotog's advice and contact Adobe Australia to verify. I wouldn't tell them you are thinking about purchasing from Adobe US though, (Adobe Aust wants your business so you might not get a straight answer) I would instead tell them you have a US copy of CS3 and are looking to upgrade to CS4, Can it be done?....If they ask you for our serial for CS3 just tell them you are just inquiring and do not have it available. Good Luck
