Here are a couple of recent finds. The Greater Spotted Eagle winter here but the Eastern Imperial Eagle only passed through and stayed less than 24 hours here.
I was very lucky to see it. Only second time seen here in Qatar. The bird got the interest of all local birders, but only three others got to see it.

Because of the large id tag atached, the birding coumminity managed to locate its origin, being Kazakhstan some 3300 kms from here. We believe that the bird winters somewhere in Africa.

I find the tag on the first one a bit unsightly, nice host though, #2 is a nice looking bird.

Really nice shots of some great looking eagles. Yeh the tag is somewhat unsightly but the image is still well worth the look. I certainly wouldn't have passed up the shot because of it.

I agree with Ken that tag is gawdy too bad some one can,t come up with something smaller or not so bright, but the shot is very cool. I have never seen either one of these, Thanks!

Both beautiful birds and excellent shots. I really like the looks of that juvie spotted eagle, very pretty bird. Well done!
