New to the forum. New to DSLR's. New to my new Rebel XSi!

Just wondering who's out there with one. What do you like? What do you dislike? I'd love to see some shots taken with it.

Portraiture Question:

with this camera - what aperture do you guys use that seems to help with a fuller focus (of 2 or more faces) yet keeps enough light in the picture?

Enjoyed seeing your photos.....especially the shot of the Triumph TR3A (I think that is what it is), I had one for a while. Here is New Orleans we get a lot of rain, and the side curtains did not keep it out, so went to the MGs - Midget and Bs.

That is such a privilege to have owned a TR3. I think they are absolutely gorgeous! If you go over to my flickr page, there is a mint Midget which is a superb car. Well done, you know your classics

We (my dad and I) are particularly interested in the Italian breed of motors. My dad Restores classic Alfa Romeo. He's about to finish restoring a 1969 GTV Veloce. Also in the pipeline is a 1950s (750 series) Giulietta Spider and Giulietta Sprint. We've also had an Austin 1939 Utility which we've sold through ebay.

Next chance, I'll be sure to take some photos of the progress on the GTV and post them here. When its ready.....we're off for some historic races me thinks

nice, some a little too dark for my taste but you definitely got the eye for composition and wedding pics

Yeah it was a 30 second exposure with my camera mounted on a tripod. I used an LED flashlight and shone it around the guitar, then my friend stood over the guitar and I used the flashlight to light paint her. All in one frame
