Stunning color and great composition! How do you like the Tamron 17-50? I've been thinking about that lens to replace the XSi kit lens. izthistaken wrote in post #9985626 Nice shot Watt! For me it's essentially replaced the kit lens and 50mm 1.8 Yeah that pic is stunning! So crisp & clear. Nice work. What brand cpl filter did you use? I am looking for a good one and am just getting into working with the Xsi.

I am looking for a good one and am just getting into working with the Xsi. for a long time I didn't use any filters because I bought a cheap ebay filter and it degraded IQ and affected AF but recently someone gave me an old Sunpak circular polarizing filter (67mm) and in the right light it can improve contrast/color especially landscape and situations where the light is just right (like the above shot). I usually leave it off but in full sun and at the beach I'll put it on

Just since the sun is going to be glaring of the snow like crazy, might be a good idea!

I am very weary of camera accessories that are extremely cheap. haha. I wouldn't put a $10 filter on a $200+ lens, that's for sure.
