Almost perfect (I'm very new with DSLRs, be gentle!).

AMAZING shot! .. I'm getting my XSi in a few weeks and can't wait! .. :D

What kind of PP did you do on this?

Thanks...Desatured the photo in Lightroom and also created the vignetting. I believe I messed a bit with clarity and sharpness as well.

It's the lovely little town, Athone, in the middle of Ireland where I studied abroad last summer!!

Thanks!! I was seriously stressing about that one. I realized there were reflections in the stained glass window after I cropped, straightened and saturated everything how I wanted it. I could see me on the bottom, and I don't know what above that. I started clone stamping it out and it didn't look right because it wasn't a solid color, it got darker down at the bottom. So I had clicked on the clone stamp SO much, I couldn't go back and undo it...and I didn't want to start over because everything else was edited just how I wanted it.... So I selected the window from the original picture and put it on the edited one....... Phew long story, but is it very noticeable? i can post the original if you'd like...

Miss Frizzle seems to be an appropriate name! ;-)a

Seriously, I didn't see any of what you mention above - I thought it was a great shot and didn't enter my mind there was any pp done on it.

exhale... :)

Hahaha.... I just reread what I wrote. Deep breaths... And thanks, I am glad the PP isn't obvious.

Hi all I'm new to the forum and I shoot Canon products, I'm not a pro by any means I shoot because I enjoy being outdoors. I curently have a Rebel XT, and a XSI though I'm on a limited budget I do the best with what I have. Photo was shot with the XSI and 4x ND filter and yes I always shoot raw.

Lovely waterfall! I don't know how my computer will ever handle me shooting in raw, it can barely handle all the JPEGs. :(

If that's what limitations bring, then may we all be limited. :D Very nice photo!

Just got the nifty50 today - sure the build is cheap - but wow - nice 'indoor' lens... look forward to some portraiture experimenting.

what are some outdoor applications you 50er's like to use it for?

next lens: 70-300 IS

Anyways - welcome new members & as always - great pics everyone!
