I thought my camera was safe while mounted on the tripod but a wave came in and washed away the sand from one of the legs and it tipped over...luckily these images were saved though the card was corrupted due to water and i lost about 30 images. The Canon 55-250mm zoom lens was used for all these images. I will miss useing the camera that wasn't even 2 years old in my hands. But i i've spoke to my mother and my dear old dad has said he purchase a new one for me and i'm looking at the 550D body only.
the cheap 55-250IS is amazing - be sure to thank good old dad on father's day!
