Did a shoot for my brother and his best friends at this amazing new location we found

I love my XSi! The only thing that has me thinking of moving to a newer model is the ISO performance of the latest breed.

Then again, for about 95% of my shots it would not make much of a difference!

I have been playing around with my new xsi and I just can't seem to get the aperature iso etc. stuff right. I have a new grandbaby that is changing as I type and I don't have the time to loose making bad pics! I just have the lens that came with the camera. It does zoom but not far. They are fairly clear but something is just not right. If I get too close he actually looks much larger than he is! Any advice?

as others have said, stand back and shoot at 50mm

If you don't want to put it in to a creative mode then stick it in fully automatic mode. It will control flash, iso, aperture value, etc, etc, etc. Downside is it does not allow you to be more creative and only captures in jpeg. However by the sounds of things you bought a DSLR for better than bog standard photos than a compact camera.

as for uploading photos. Grab a picassa account or photobucket and upload to them and the right click on the picture and grab then use the "copy image url" option to get the url link.

We got some early snow here in Washington these past few days. About 5 inches! I've definitely been enjoying it :]

Thanks everyone! Hopefully I can find someone to model for me in the snow soon to get some wintry portraits. Everyone seems to hate the cold for some reason though :[

I despise the cold. Down in here in Southern California it's been like 40-50 degrees and night and 60-70 degrees during the day.. I'm hating it. Acceptable weather to me is like in between 85 and 95 degrees. LOL my baby bird must hate it too. Especially since it killed his little brother.. D:
