I couldn't decide between 1 and 2, but I think you are right. The flag pic has more of a focal point - the first one is more or less an abstract with no focal point. Think I will go with the flag! Here are a couple of photos from wandering around in Colorado last weekend, but first a short note on the Xsi. A few weeks ago I was hiking and slipped and fell very hard on my camera, crunching it between my ribs and a rock, it now has a few scratches and a tiny chip, but still functioning perfectly (whew), so good news on camera durability. (my ribs hurt for two weeks, my camera took a pretty good whack)
