Thanks man. How is the 5d2?

I am upgrading bodies pretty soon too!

:D

It's awesome. I have been lazy though lately. At least I have 3 shoots this week. :)

Awesome! You're going to love it! :D

so how long does everyone plan on keeping their 450D's ? And if you plan on upgrading, when and to what?

Just curious. I plan on using my xsi camera until it dies!

+1 on that. i will keep my 450D till it dies on me and if ever i'll be able to save up some money to upgrade to a new unit, i guess i will settle with a 60D or 600D. :D

I'll probably keep mine indefinitely (until it breaks). However, I do plan to upgrade to at least a 7D but probably a 5D Mk III.

There are rumours of a 6D with the 5D Mk II sensor and the 7D focus system, which would be perfect for my needs and budget (about $2K). The 5D Mk III would then jump up in price and features...

However, in Canada (where I live), the 5D Mk II is now $1999 at authorized retailers so that's a very tempting camera at that price!

I'm only now looking at upgrading after having this one since 2009. Had the XSi out practicing shooting at a wedding and it became obvious very quickly where the bottlenecks are.

Considering upgrading to a 1DMk3, 5DMk2 or 7D.

I would like to upgrade to a bigger body, but I don't think I can afford it for another 1-2 years (so my 450D better not die!). Shooting outdoors in wintertime becomes a challenge, because I have to wear gloves (or mittens). I used a 30D a bit last winter and it was much more comfortable!

this looks absolutely delicious! I love love love squid!

glad to hear people are still standing by their 450D's! Although I plan on using it for quite some time still, I would definitely like to have a bigger body and a better LCD.

Now that I have my 7D I'm not sure what to do, I could either sell it, keep it as a backup or even convert to full spectrum (IR) I'l be doing it myself so cost isnt a problem.

Only 2 things that were letting me down were the ISO and no video other than that its still an awsome camera.
