What exactly did you do in PP?
using a photoshop plug-in on one layer for the sidewalk and grass (HDR Redynamix) and on another layer simply saturating the colors and contrast on the sky.

I love the whole look of that capture! nothing cropped, simply taking the photo and adjusting through layer masks in photoshop, and really only about three layers as I remember.

You might get some good effects out of it. Get down within a foot of the ground and try from all around the stump. See if that gets you anything. Also converting to B&W might be an option. materialism ~
