QUOTED IMAGE

like it - would be cool if you could put your own logo in the mirror where the sticker is :)

^ So amazing! So... is the blur from the lens or is that done in photoshop? And is the 10-20 you refer to the Sigma? Once my bank account recovers from my flash, I'm hoping to get that lens. :)

Hi everyone!

I've been following this thread for ages now and finally plucked up the courage to post!
I got my 450D about a month ago and I love it! Still getting used to it as it's my first DSLR and trying to pick up tips from people.

The standard of the pictures on here is just amazing!

Anyway here's my first POTN worthy picture; CC welcome but go easy on me! ;)

(PS. Ignore the crappy 'watermark'. Using it until I've come up with something better!)

Yup. 580EXII on master, 430EXII on slave -- 580EXII on stand with white trans' Umbrella, down at 45 degrees from up high.

430EXII with snoot, lower, pointing up towards both -- Can't remember the settings, I usually just wing it. Plus a 48" reflector.

That is from a tilt-shift lens. 24mm TS-E ii -- And yup, the 10-20mm is the Sigma, great little lens.

Okay, I was inspired and spent my Saturday night creating a lightbox out of foam board. I still need to trim the sides, but I couldn't wait and started taking photos. I had to use pretty long shutter speeds, I wasn't sure if that was normal but I mounted it to my tripod. I bounced the flash from the top of the lightbox. I'm pretty excited. I'll post some shots and if you guys could give me some feedback that'd be awesome. :)
