Think I'll try sell my (hardly used) Samyang 14mm to fund this 85mm version, I like the photo's posted here.

Just a few shots from this morning. Spring has sprung here in the Northwest.

I had an engagement shoot over the weekend and I used this lens for most of the shoot. All images where lit with an PCB Einstein and PCB Beauty Dish with the Sock.

First time using a MF lens, does the focus point selection matter ?

How could it matter?

technically in evaluative metering mode the location of the focus point does have some bearing on exposure. i haven't witnessed it first hand though, on a 20d or a 5dc.

Hmmmm, just sold my Samyang 14mm as it was too wide for me on full-frame. I've the Samyang 35mm f/1.4 lens which I'm loving.

I've the money to buy the 85mm f/1.4 Samyang, not sure what to do next?

I sold my 14 for the same reason. Already had the 35 and 85. I highly recommend you get the 85.

PM'd, check the sig :) I have Nikon mount version that I've been toying with trading for a while. I use it with a EOS adapter to mount on my Canon bodies.

I have the Canon mount version, but, I will be switching over to a Nikon body/system for a while.. The other variants of the Samyang/Bower/Rokinon, etc, lenses I purchase will be in Nikon mount.. My question is, are there ANY options to adapt my Canon mount 85mm to a Nikon? I know that the adapters exist for the other way around.. but not EOS to Nikon correct?

If not .. Guess I'm in the boat to buy another 85 in Nikon mount..... 'Less I find someone by chance to trade me..
