DwightMcCann so, what are we talking about? 21,402 posts Likes: 44 Joined Feb 2005 Location: Buellton, California, USA More info | Jun 08, 2005 10:54 | #3 Wonder how that shot would work with a polarizer? Could take some glare off the roofs, letting more natural color come through and might improve the sky. Love this shot! Dwight McCann

I would have liked to have had a polarizer with me for that shot, but you were limited as to what you could take up the narrow stairs of the bell tower with you. One Camera, period. No extra lenses, no nothing, no purse, no bags, it all had to be left in a locker. I knew I needed a wide angle, so I took the camers with my 14mm prime (Sigma), and my wife carried a single lens, calling it her "camera" (a 15-30mm Sigma). Niether of these has a polarizer, nor do they readily accept one, due to the odd shape of the lens. So . . . I didn't have a polarizer for the hot-bright midday sunlight. SWPhoto-Imaging
