At the college level there is a lot of volleyball played all across the country. It is a bit like soccer, it surprises me how many people turn up to some of the games seen on TV, but you only seem to find these sports on "Independent" type channels not ESPN. Another sport I enjoyed playing and watching is badminton, a fast sport with a lot of athleticism.
