I found this snake at John Heinz NWR in Philadelphia, PA. It was small and found in wet leaf-litter. Anyone know what type of snake this is?

I'm inclined to agree with bigcountry that it is a northern brown snake, also known as a DeKay's snake. They are found in Pennsylvania.

Non venomous kind! If you could provide a larger photo that would help for a species ID.

I thought of that after I responded. They also have larger darker splotches on the sides of them than the photo shows.
