Two shots of my boys. Weather has been killing us here in the Northeast. Always raining and the organization is shutting down the fields almost every weekend.

C&C appreciated.

Hopefully these look better than some of my past posts. Been having problems with the way the images look when posting.

Scott

The color is incredible, and the boys (specially in number 2) seem to pop out of the screen! how did you get them so sharp?

Overall very nice shots Scott! I would suggest a tighter crop and a slight horizon straightening on both images.

1st pic exif:
Camera: Canon EOS 20D
Exposure: 0.001 sec (1/1000)
Aperture: f/4.0
Focal Length: 276 mm
ISO Speed: 400
Exposure Bias: 0 EV

2nd pic exif:
Camera: Canon EOS 20D
Exposure: 0.002 sec (1/640)
Aperture: f/4.0
Focal Length: 300 mm
ISO Speed: 800
Exposure Bias: 0 EV
Flash: Off, Did not fire

I see what you mean about a little more leveling of the field. I thought I got it, but one more tweak on both would get the horizon just right.

And the crops could be tighter as well. Will work on that going forward. Right now, I am trying to nail the focus. I can always go back back and crop again.

Hmmmm, not sure I understand the feedback here...

The first one I would not be a keeper for me. The arm kind of kills it and even if you crop it out somehow, the background is way to cluttered with the chair etc there. Is it cropped a lot already? The background has some weird texture too it.

The 2nd one is actually pretty good, but I'd crop it much tighter than that.

They both seem over-saturated to me personally and also a bit too contrasty.

But apparently I am in the minority here when I look at the other replies. So I'm probably wrong with my assessments.

When you have over 200 kids playing, backgrounds are tough. Especially with parents sitting all over the place. That is as good as it gets where my youngest boy plays.

I agree on the crop on the second one. Unfortunately the coach was on the field while they were playing and he popped in there. Yes it is already cropped.

I try to shoot tight and crop tighter, sometimes I get it, and sometimes I don't.

Trying to learn and get better, thanks for the feedback.

I can't believe you like the jersey's. I think they are horrible. But I wore them when I was younger, they were all orange shirts with the league name running diagonally down the front.

They were really ugly back in the day!
