My son is staring to walk and I wanted to document it. I took some shots of my son on a bridge at a nearby park because the natural lighting was nice that afternoon and I thought the bridge would be a nice background as he walked the length of it. Please tell me what you think of the composition and exposure.

I did experiment with this one, cropping it a bit tighter on him so he doesn't look so small, but then I lose the curvature of the bridge. This is the full image, no crop done.

This last one my wife took as my dad and I helped him down a slope. I cropped it to be portrait instead of landscape.

If you turned your camera and shot the bridge scene landscape you may get what you were shooting for?

Third picture in landscape would have been it I think.

So I have to ask, did you all three get new shoes for your trip to the park? Those are some clean shoes :)

I had intended to some in landscape but the bridge traffic was constant and I didn't want to get other people in the shot or hold up everyone from going to the park.

I took this one but as you can see one of the subjects was not cooperating. He just wanted to be free to try out his new walking skills.

I can't speak for my dad, but yes, my son's shoes were new and I just never wear that pair much. ;)
