Luke, you don't have to be a member of SS to apply SSA's. This is an excerpt from the aplication

If you are not a member of SportsShooter.com: Fill out the application form, submit this form via email and mail a CD portfolio of 15-20 images along with a printout of this application to: SPORTS SHOOTER, INC. P.O. Box 801282 Santa Clarita, CA 91380-1282. If you have a personal website or an on-line gallery that you feel is a good representation of your work, list that in the “Non-ss.com member” area below instead of submitting a CD portfolio

Nikon D4 and 60 2.8D Micro, 24-70 2.8G, 70-200 2.8G VRII, 200-400 VRII, SB800, SB600, Pocket Wizards, 4x WL-1600, Quantum Turbo 2x2, Sekonic 358 meter, TT AS, Takeoff, Belt System

Congrats on getting accepted man. Pay close attention to everything Sean Haffey says. Follow him, watch him like a hawk. The man is one of the better sports shooters around right now. His work from the Olympics is incredible.
