In Trafalgar Square, an odd display of dead tree trunks and roots amid the pigeons and the drizzle. Caught on my little compact camera which is all I had with me.

Beautiful, yet eerie shot. Love the composition and how the hard lines of the monument offset the organic shapes of the tree trunk.

Thanks Alex
This is a stump of a rainforest tree from Ghana. The blurb says these trees would have been 50m high, about the same as Nelson's colum, so the shot tries to make that evident from the angle. The display is only on until Sunday.
