Hey guys,

I'm about to go to a Boston Celtics game tonight and wanted to bring along my SLR. Anyone tried doing this? They have a "no videotaping" policy, and allow point and shoot cameras from the other forums I've read.

Has anyone tried bringing an SLR camera to a professional sporting event? What's the worst they could do? Eject me? I was thinking about just taking it out in the 4th quarter to get some cool pics. Although, the thought crossed my mind they they might have the right to confiscate it.

Dan

Pics are gone but it looks like they got to shoot.

yeah, saw that...

Sporting Events: Non-flash, still cameras without a detachable lens, may be used to take pictures of sporting events or events where house lights are illuminated during a performance. Cameras with detachable lens are prohibited from all TD Garden events. Any tripod or other photography equipment may not be used or placed in any area of the building without building issued media credentials.

So that pretty much rules out SLR's -- I'm thinking about maybe snapping a few pics then putting it away. If they kick me out in the 4th quarter, oh well...haha
