Is this camera any good, Im using s3 i1 at the moment

Much depends on price and condition as far as the body is concerned, but yes, it is pretty decent.
The same can't be said for the lens which is almost worthless in my opinion, although others seem to cope with its limitations. A very much better alternative is the 18-55 IS.

Good deal, but sell the lens for $50-75 and get the newer IS version of same for $100-125...enjoy...

should be better than a point and shoot =)
you might want to sell that kit lens and maybe get another zoom. maybe a prime, idk.
