Hi everybody,

I'm looking to buy a very compact point and shoot to use next to my big gun. I feel I miss to mush pictures, especially when I'm out with friends.

My mom has an Canon IXUS70 and I use it from time to time. I really enjoy the very compact size and easy use. I also love the design.

So I was thinking of buying an IXUS 100 IS (costs around 190€) but it seems it shoots 4:3 resolution. I like the 3:2 resolution of my DSLR more.

So do you have any advice on a small compact p&s with 3:2 resolution that produces good quality pictures? Budget is max 250€.

Thanks ;)

I think the budget will cap it some... I don't know if any of Canon's P&S have 3:2; Panasonics do for sure, but I know only that the LX3 does (and that is not within the budget you've quoted). I'm not sure if the TZ-series have a 3:2 ratio option (if they do, that would be in your budget).
