I am having trouble finding the magic settings allowing CS3 (iMac,10.5.8) to manage the color output of an Epson R280 photo printer.

1. Has anyone else encountered this problem ?

2. Adobe, Epson and Apple technical "help" hasn't helped.

3. Any suggestions ?

Thanks;

Sam

Hello Rene'

Thanks for posting your "Color Problems" link.

A CS3 - PC user posted this advice concerning controlling color quality of R280 with CS3:

Enter: "5. Printer profile= Stylus Photo R280 R290 Series"

Well guess what ?

My printer profile menu does not contain any specific Stylus Photo R280 info.

I have contacted Epson (after loading the latest R280 print drivers for OSX 10.5.8) and they offered no
additional helpful advice.

My guess is that CS3 color control of the R280 works fine with a PC but NOT fine with a iMac.

Rene,

I think I prefer your mac version to my Windows version. I'm amazed that they are so different.

Well, this is PSCS4 (which won't print correctly on my Mac) and the OSX 10.4 Epson printer driver.
I think newer OS means different printer driver, maybe closer to yours. What are the differences?

Rene,

Bear in mind I use PS7, But this is how the R2880 driver displays in Windows XP.
