I hope you wear a hazmat suit Terri, or have an outdoor changing/showering area cause I'd be afraid of bringing all sorts of ickies into the house after cleaning that!!! I hate seeing that there were children living in that.

Not going to post shots here of this horror (believe it or not, not the worst of what I have mucked).

GROSSNESS WARNING!!!

CLICK (external link) if you dare.

I've seen a few like that over the years. Some even worse. I never cease to marvel at the filth some people will subject their families to.

There's a TV show on A&E you should watch called Hoarders. You get a little idea.

I'm not short. I'm concentrated awesome!

That is disgusting. Absolutely disgusting.

My first thought: can it be cleaned?
My 2nd thought: is that carpet that is black?
My 3rd thought: was this a drug house?
My 4th thought: who could live like this?
My 5th thought: I think I'm going to barf.

1. The shots titled 'after' were as clean as it got
2. Yes. That is carpet.
3. Dunno on the drug part, found no evidence of that. But, there were children in there :( and it is an apartment.
4. Frank and I asked each other that repeatedly.
5. I did warn you! Sorry, tho.

cfpackerfan wrote in post #9111333 (external link)
All that. ^^ :)

*stomps foot in frustration*
I can't get it to show me the shots! Photobucket is being PISSY.

*grabs Namby hugs* :)

You will flip. Trust me.

sevillafox wrote in post #9111343 (external link)
Holy barf! Man, did you bleach yourself after that?!?!

Wow.

That and steel wool.

Jon wrote in post #9111350 (external link)
It knows you'd go into shock or cardiac arrest if it were to show you . . .

No - I gave up it was going so slow for me. Made it through 3 shots of greasy kitchen though.

Sorry for photobuckets brattitness

The greasy kitchen shots are after we cleaned :-| A chisel is needed for that stuff.

I don't need no stinkin' hazmat suit! ;)

We take the necessary precautions and are very careful.

Anytime I see evidence of children in a place like this, it upsets me.

I have seen much worse since I started doing this. And I agree.

I have watched a couple episodes, it makes me sad for them.

so what happens when that's "as clean" as you can get? Then what?

We submit a bid to fix what we are unable to under the standard arrangement. The co. we work with will either accept it, put it out for other contractors, or just try to sell it as is.

When there is bad carpet, for example, we 'bid to remove'. This is the first time we have 'bid to remove' and entire kitchen

My wife has been watching it lately. I can't take watching an entire episode, but it's amazing how some people pile up the stuff.
