Just reminding you that you are only normal. ;)

Hey, I'm a contractor with all resources I would need at my disposal, and my project is 1 1/2 years old now. Other then the ensuite, we are 95% complete, the remaining 5% is all those little things you speak of that need to get done. Not only has the money run thin, but so has the drive.
Plus, with trying to do most of the rest of the stuff by myself so save some coin, my own time (or lack thereof) becomes a huge factor.

Take that back!

See...my problem this winter is going to be motivating Corey. He is planning on doing nothing but relaxing for two weeks after harvest season is over. And, while I don't blame him, there are little luxuries I'd like to have....doorknobs and such.

I also want my studio up and running by february which means ripping up carpet (but nicely as it's fairly new and we are going to use it upstairs), refinishing the hardwood floors, some wiring, trim, patching of holes (the big one being where one of the windows was removed...the other hole is being covered with a faux brick facade for my shooting space), painting, fixing the ceiling. etc.

Night sleepies

I just took Leyla to drop her car off for repair. I am driving a rental. It is a gold 2010 Ford Taurus with shiny chrome rims. It has blue neon lighting through out and these nifty neon looking running lights. Zane is pimpin' it . It is a really nice car and uber quick.

PICTURES!!! And don't forget to put on your fuzzy purple pimp hat.

Anytime I see evidence of children in a place like this, it upsets me.

Understandably so... That's sad. Kinda makes me angry that people would subject their children to such squalor.

BTW. Watched part of the Cowboy/Raider game on Thanksgiving. I could not figure out which team to 'boo' the loudest at

I grew up in D.C. and am not a football fan but am programed to hate Dallas.

I live in Dallas and am programmed to hate them. America's Team my ... er.. hiney.

I don't really follow sports much, I occasionally will tune into a race (not NASCAR, real racing with real turns ... ovals are boring) but that's about it, but for some reason I've always had a deep-seated resentment for the team. Dunno what it is....

Yes, however, mozy.com seems to be less expensive.

I've been using Mozy since my epic hard drive disaster, and they've been rather reliable and when I had to wipe the system clean and start fresh, it connected to the computer and immediately got to work setting everything right. Of course, I had dumped everything I needed to an external HD, so I just stopped it, and put my stuff back.

I have found the client can occasionally slow the computer if it's backing up.

Can someone please explain to me why my husband thinks that Ian doesn't need his hands washed after dipping them into the toilet as Aidan was peeing? I don't get it.

Well....

Harm wrote in post #9113975 (external link)
Oh, and Urine is super sterile...you hear stories about people who get huge cuts when out in the middle of nowhere, and if you urinate on those cuts etc. it keeps them from being infected...

^^ That, but I don't think I'd try that home remedy.

But dipping one's hand in the toilet (urine or not...) would definitely be a squick factor for me. Definitely needs to wash his hands. Your hubby must not realize other gross things go into that receptacle.

Jim, we did a bathroom as well but it's not done. Just the toilet and sink are in there. No lights or shower

My BR is still a work in progress. We are awaiting the new cabinets, then it's off to the stone mason and get a marble top and sink made for the base. Since it's only the two of us in the house now that bathroom does not get used.

I always assign something for our guests to bring and they do help, at least the family guests. Distant friends or rare guests are treated as Lois' aunt treats her guests.

LMAO! Yeah, I've not got many TPBM digits. I just had to laugh when he picked that out. I pushed the cart by them and he started bouncing up and down yelling, "bear," and was all kinds of excited when he got it. :D The biting one is when I told him to give it a kiss.

Aidan got bobert.

Ugh on the bathroom.

Yeah, same here...there's always one pile of stuff that never gets sorted when cleaning.

and, doorknobs are NOT optional. Especially in a bathroom.
