should be a port where the monitor can attach onto on the back...

also depends on what you want to do with it...use the monitor as a main screen, or as a 2nd screen to your laptop screen...

Interesting how different your colors are than mine.

Different camera and different processing styles...

How would I find out if I can hook another monitor up to my laptop ya'll?

Should say in the manual. Also, there would be a connection on the back of the laptop.

I just want more workspace for editing photos. I find my screen isn't big enough. So I was thinking of getting a 25" monitor on the side. I have an HP pavillion... but that's all I remember.

I have another monitor hooked up to my laptop. The port is on the right side. I'm sure it depends on the the laptop though. Hubbys laptop the connection is in the back.

well the monitor should have a cable that attaches to the back of your laptop, and you want to use it as a 2nd screen.

So once it is hooked up, right click on your desktop > properties > settings > you'll see 2 black screens in the middle of a grey box.

left click on the right screen and to the bottom of the screen you'll see a check box saying "Extend my Windows desktop onto this monitor".

check that box...

your 25" monitor will be an extension of your laptop screen.

click on "ok", and you're good to go.

When I bought my monitor it came with a hookup cord. However, if it hadn't matched up with any of my ports, I was told you can buy the one you need. I know nothing about it though. Just what the sales person told me.

You might not. I used an online calibrator that I think WoolyDan linked me to. My monitor ended up being very very close to what it should be. Although, buying a "real" calibrator might prove that my colors are way off.

Permie I didn't get to the store today for the pink ribbon. I will go tomorrow for sure. So, if I can get the shots to you by tomorrow afternoon, will that work? Or do you not want my "so ugly she's cute" Cricket? Won't hurt my feelings if you aren't interested in her.

I have Kona, Hale, Maggie, Sunny, Minnie, Buddy, Baxter (I have all these shots) and I'll get Z's shot of the group & Cat's shot of Amikah so...as of now, 9.

I can double up. Or I can try to convince Jim, Neil & Zane to give me shots of their dogs and let me pp something BCA on them
