-5 degrees now. I've had to put a heating pad on my knee. It hurts when the weather gets cold. Sucks getting old.

Gaaaaaa. I tried to get somewhere today. The rude adjuster lady hung up on me when I said I was considering calling an attorney if someone could not explain what was going on by the end of today. That was so the wrong thing for her to do. It took me forever but I got the manager above her boss and in a polite calm collected voice explained how I could really be screwing them right now, how I have no desire to do that, how the woman was unprofessional, was a poor representative to the company, and how she was not doing her job and was unable to tell me anything. The manager put me on hold, called the salvage yard, talked to the guy on the lot that is supposed to look at my truck, and informed me I probably would not hear anything until Monday but the assessment will be done by tomorrow afternoon. I am being a nice guy so far.

Hopefully in the end it will be worth the trouble if you can get a little bit newer truck and gain a few mpg.

Can I interest anyone in a turkey sandwich?

Sounds good. I'm marinading a pork loin overnight. I'll cook it tomorrow, and a turkey sandwich would help hold me over.

I have mentioned it but my current pick up truck(that may be totaled) has an 8.1 liter engine. I love the power, hate the gas usage.

My Tundra has a (relatively) diminuitive 4.7 liter V8, but it really suits all my purposes just fine. Of course, I don't pull a horse trailer, and I expect I'd find myself wishing for more power if I did.

Some of the railroad sequences in that movie are quite authentic. The locomotive is based very closely on a real engine (a Berkshire class 2-8-4, FYI:rolleyes:;)). The only likable character in the movie is the girl. The main character is annoying, and the little poor kid is weird. Santa isn't particularly jolly, and the hot chocolate thing gave me nightmares.

Other than that, it's a really great movie. I own the DVD, and think I'll buy a Blu-ray copy so I can watch in in hi def,

I'm not short. I'm concentrated awesome!
