I'm so glad I've managed to let go of last year's candy debacle. :| Otherwise this would be a really painful conversation. :p

LOL!! I SAID I was sorry (at least a half a zillion times). I could have given them to you but you wouldn't have wanted them. (for those that don't know...the ants...which we do have occasional problems with...got into the candy while it was waiting to be delivered to Chris)

sure, sure....you just photoshopped them on, sent him the photo and said "Soz dude, the candies are ruined...." :D

the really awful part about it all...Dan put the bag in his camera bag because he and Chris were going to go shoot. They ended up not (don't remember why) and the camera bag went into the closet. The closet is the closet that has the trap door to under the house...and the ants came in through there...and TOTALLY swarmed his camera bag. We were so grossed out.

I did.

And I've been meaning to bring that up...

I won't be able to do that this year. I would love to... and it's become quite a tradition, but we're going to have to skip this year.

Know that I WANT to, and I'll be sending sweet thoughts to all of you. :)

You have given us a way better present, by spending your time for the betterment of so many dogs. While I appreciate the candy, my vote for your time will always be for it to be put into making these pets life so much better. :D

I'm trying to find a quote that contains the phrase "...all things to all men at all times". It's bugging me that I can't remember where it came from. Does anyone here remember?

Update: Mom is in a mental hospital that keeps a close eye on suicidal people. She will be there for about 2 weeks and then they evaluate her. If she seems better she will go back to assisted living. If not, they will move her to a more permanent place that can deal with her problems long term.

That's great news, Paula. I hope she gets the help she needs there.

I think this is the best solution for now. I hope she can find the peace she needs to be happy again. Not to pry, but something must have happened to her to put her in this state, I pray therapy can relieve her from this pain.
