We only use a water/glycol system in new installs, or major renos, due to the cost..

This is a major remodel. The room is down to bare studs and the floor to joists.

Speaking of ... I saw on the news some kid somewhere decided to test the theory that you can, indeed get your tongue stuck to a flagpole. The answer is: yes you can.

When I was a kid one of my not so bright friends did that but to a train rail. He too got stuck but was able to RIP his tongue off when we told him we heard a train.

Google loves POTN! Don't post anything you don't want preserved for eternity...

Whew!! Thank goodness I removed the post about my holy sweatpants.

Not sure why, but call me JJ.
I used to hate math but then I realised decimals have a point.

Update: Mom is in a mental hospital that keeps a close eye on suicidal people. She will be there for about 2 weeks and then they evaluate her. If she seems better she will go back to assisted living. If not, they will move her to a more permanent place that can deal with her problems long term.

I'm glad she is getting help and hopefully they will be able to address the demons that haunt her. Good luck to you all.

I'm not sure why everything said on POTN has to make it unto search engines.

Everything we say shows up, that's whack!

Yeah, they're working on a Chet filter, but apparently it isn't implemented yet.

:D

But seriously, how would they decide what to index and what not to?

By the way, an apple a day does NOT keep the Dr. away, it makes the doctor tell you, "You are having problems with your sugar levels, eat more protein"

That's the Tif-ucius wisdom of the day

You have given us a way better present, by spending your time for the betterment of so many dogs. While I appreciate the candy, my vote for your time will always be for it to be put into making these pets life so much better. :D

I listened to a guy yesterday phone in to a talk show where they were discussing clearing the snow from city streets. I guess the guy went to stop in a school zone and slid a bit even though he had good tires. He had a couple sand bags in his vehicle, got it out and proceeded to put some down at the intersection to aid people in stopping, and a bylaw officer happened by, telling him to stop at once, that it was illegal for a citizen to do any type of work on a road, and he could get a $500 fine for doing so. It really strikes me as idiotic, that this bylaw officer would not just look past the legal technicalities of this good deed, and move on, instead of trying to be the big shot. What about the safety of the kis? Some people, I tell you.
