I'm trying to find a quote that contains the phrase "...all things to all men at all times". It's bugging me that I can't remember where it came from. Does anyone here remember?

I think it's in...

Jon wrote in post #9171695 (external link)
Sure that's all in the quote? Drop the "at all times" and it turns up in

Yeah, OK. There.

I went to check out the make up academy today. Totally fell in love. If I do the hair styling program as well, I get two photoshoots at the end. Although I'm not totally sure I'll be a good stander-by while watching another photographer shoot my work lol

I did.

And I've been meaning to bring that up...

I won't be able to do that this year. I would love to... and it's become quite a tradition, but we're going to have to skip this year.

Know that I WANT to, and I'll be sending sweet thoughts to all of you. :)

Tis K we still love you and are thankful for candy of years past. I may have to dig out your recipe though to keep Leyla hopped up on sugar through the holiday.

Update: Mom is in a mental hospital that keeps a close eye on suicidal people. She will be there for about 2 weeks and then they evaluate her. If she seems better she will go back to assisted living. If not, they will move her to a more permanent place that can deal with her problems long term.

Good to hear she is safe.

I listened to a guy yesterday phone in to a talk show where they were discussing clearing the snow from city streets. I guess the guy went to stop in a school zone and slid a bit even though he had good tires. He had a couple sand bags in his vehicle, got it out and proceeded to put some down at the intersection to aid people in stopping, and a bylaw officer happened by, telling him to stop at once, that it was illegal for a citizen to do any type of work on a road, and he could get a $500 fine for doing so. It really strikes me as idiotic, that this bylaw officer would not just look past the legal technicalities of this good deed, and move on, instead of trying to be the big shot. What about the safety of the kis? Some people, I tell you.

Power trip:roll: I have got through a number of accident scenes in icy conditions by offering the police and fire rescue some salt spread at the scene. They have let me make a few passes with the spreader and go out the other side of the scene rather than making me wait until county trucks get there and they clear the scene.

BearLeeAlive wrote in post #9172311 (external link)
But, you gotta believe the people at Dan's work were equally amused to listen to him barking into the phone.

Ensuring your child will have years of therapy in adulthood, Lesson #127:

IMAGE: http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2768/4174995317_c2307cc0c9_o.jpg
Christmas is a great time to instill a healthy sense of paranoia. Why, yes, they are watching you, and they are out to get you, little Johnny.

My wife bought this book and adorable elf doll for Christopher this Christmas. You see, the story goes that this elf watches you throughout the day, then returns to his big boss in the north pole vicinity to report on your every misstep and misdeed.

Just look at the calculating look in his beady little eyes. Watching you, and everything you do. Be afraid, be very afraid...

Everything should be made as simple as possible, but not simpler - Albert Einstein
