seriously though....my sm laughed and we removed her 30+ lb head gear but all I could think about is that if Kona doesn't stop doing this (and believe me WE TRY to make him behave. I made him sit first to meet her and everything) he could really injure someone. And I TOLD Hale that not everyone looks good in hats....

LOL!!

Permagrin wrote in post #9168913 (external link)
I've not seen that. Terri said I'd cry. So I won't be seeing it.

It would be a 'good' () cry, tho...

You have given us a way better present, by spending your time for the betterment of so many dogs. While I appreciate the candy, my vote for your time will always be for it to be put into making these pets life so much better. :D

THAT!!!!!

Update: Mom is in a mental hospital that keeps a close eye on suicidal people. She will be there for about 2 weeks and then they evaluate her. If she seems better she will go back to assisted living. If not, they will move her to a more permanent place that can deal with her problems long term.

Paula, I am glad she is safe, and I hope the best for her, and for you.

Permagrin wrote in post #9172248 (external link)
oh my gosh, the cutest thing just happened.

I was on the cell phone with Tif and Dan called the house phone (since I hadn't picked up the beep on the cell) so I hung up with Tif and was talking to D on the house phone. He wanted to talk to Kona (Kona likes to hear his voice) so I turned on the speaker and he talked to him for a while. K was super attentive, looking at the phone while Dan talked. So then during this, Hale had to go out to go to the bathroom...K went with her. I finished my phone conversation with Dan and let them both back in. Kona went over to the coffee table where the phone was, picked it up and went over to exactly where he was standing when Dan was talking to him. He dropped the phone on the floor, squatted down (bum in the air) and went "woof" (he doesn't bark as a rule) right at the phone. He wanted to talk to his dad. It was SO STINKING CUTE! And he is one smart dog!

I was in the hallway cleaning up a bit.
Wade was in the living room doing some training with Simon.

This is what I heard:

Simon, sit.
Simon, stay.
Simon, sit.
Simon, down... No Simon! I didn't say Simon says. LOL!!!

It struck me SOOO funny. I'm STILL laughing.

hahahahaha!

I met with one of my clients parents today at their home, they are aging and not able to come out to us anymore. What amazing people, 10 children, 7 with some type of developmental delay (except one with cystic fibrosys) and only 2 of those 7 still with us. They are full of hope and joy, adore each and every one of their children and have nothing but love for the world.

It is important, that our world has people like this. Without them, humans as a species would implode.

Hi! Just a quick pop in before bed *yawn*

they are such incredible people Cat, I just adore them. Being at their home today I got to see photos of all of their kids as well as grands and great grands! It was so cool. Vince is now 91 and on oxygen, Kate is 84 and has a bad knee. Their son Dominic comes home from his group home every weekend.

Good story

New Diet! I'm really excited to try this one:

Day 1: Fasting. Plenty of fluids. Clear broths OK.
Day 2: All Veggie Day! Go with a variety of colors to get the full vitamin impact.
Day 3: Add Fruits to the mix. Again, the more colors taken it will guarantee maximum vitamin intake.
Day 4: As before, maximize plant intake, but, in the afternoon, you may have a one ounce cube of boneless, skinless, blanched and boiled chicken.
Day 5: Veggies, fruits, two whole cubes of the above chicken and .005 ounce of mild cheddar.
Day 6: Same as Day 5, also a treat! Add 4 oz of fat free soy milk!
Day 7: Start off with a big bag of chips then move on to a salami sandwich and a coke. First coffee break, two cups of coffee with all the half and half you can stomach with a half gallon of ice cream. Lunch will consist of the left side of the menu. Mid afternoon snack would be a simple large pizza with extra cheese. Dinner would be basic fare of lasagne, a loaf of garlic bread and a salad loaded with dressing. Dessert, as you've deserved a prize for doing this insane diet for a week would be an entire chocolate cake. That evening, you will stay in the hospital overnight for observation after the stomach pump.

Then the cycle repeats with...

Day 1: Fasting. Plenty of fluids. Clear broths OK....

Thanks Cat, that did give me a smile. Its nothing bad guys, just really, really stressed out with hubs' schedules and stuff right now. And trying to make Christmas special w/o going over budget...not that we're tight, we just decided to cut way back on useless stuff this year. Turns out I'm pretty well doing it on my own for the time being.

Sorry you are down again, and I don't know if this helps or makes me look uncaring, but most of the people on this earth would pay money for those to be their only problems.

simply blow a bubble onto the water surface and then position it under the dropper. More often than not the droplet will fall through the bubble without breaking it
QUOTED IMAGE
or it will break and you get this type of thing lol

And I'll stop boring you all now.:lol:

Diane, sorry it's icky for you. :( ((hugs)) Hope it gets better quick.

Eh, it'll be fine when there isn't quite as many places to be all at once. For instance I'm to be at the local rescue mission on Saturday...except hubs works and my sitter is sick. Haven't quite figured that one out yet....Parents said nope. Hate to let anyone down.

Little of both, but I understand your sentiment, I think. Its one of those where to understand you'd walk a mile in someone's shoes...referring either to myself or to someone else, kwim? It'll pass. Thanks for the comfort guys. Nice to know there's friends around who "get" real life.
