A couple of shelters about 50 miles from here have an urgent need to place some very large dogs. Several Great Pyrenees and a Great Pyrenees/Newfie mix....I put in for the GP/N....that has become the one with the most urgent need.

Good for you Wool. Let us know how it turns out.

G'MAE all. I use Zoe-dots because I can't remember how to spell umlaut when I'm typing away and probably won't remember the code for ë for very long. But mostly because Zane wanted dots. :D

That sounds like a ginormous critter, WoolyDan! Any link? :D Morning all. Permie, we couldn't get scrabble to work last night either. Very frustrating when you want to dink off.

And Cat can't pronounce your name? I didn't think that Wool-ee Dan was too tough. ;)

Street prices are about $1,000-$1,100.

I don't know. It would almost seem like for $1k you get a lot more optics then many Canon lenses of the same price. I tried out a pair and they really are great, so clear and bright. I bought the Canon 10x30 IS binos, and we are real happy with them. I think we paid around $400.

Hmm... I've been looking at getting a pair of Canon Bins. I get a bit confused about the 10x30 numbers (I know that one is zoom and the other is area of view, but I don't know what they'd appear like). I don't really want to go into a shop and experiment as I know I'll probably end up paying too much.

Oh Pete, I could photograph that door ALL DAY. *sigh* Love it.

This room is the officer's quarters. That's why the woodwork is a little more ornate that the rest of the place.

G'night Cat. Sleep well. Dream of transparent men.

Um.. wouldn't that be scary?

Goodnight folks.

We took the dogs for a walk in the nice cool 50f air after dinner. Now we are all ready for sleep.

I finally had a undisturbed 7 hours of sleep last night. My alarm actually woke me up for the first time in weeks. I was in a coma asleep.

I may have to. Cat can't pronounce my name.

I know a few Dan's, so I wouldn't have trouble with it. :p
Your last name on the other hand, not sure. :D

The first number is the zoom. 30mm objective lens is quite good for most parts of the day, 42mm will extend your viewing by at least 15 minutes either side of the day, which is important to many bird watchers, as the birds are often very active then.

Monterey is in a marvelous location....tons of great places to take photos, good seafood restaurants, an aquarium, and so much more. It's also a very expensive place.

Big Sur is a place of incredible beauty, and San Francisco is only a couple hours drive to the north.

Dadgummit, I'm gettin a little homesick for the Bay Area. :(

I'm not short. I'm concentrated awesome!

Cool.. If I understand correctly, that school services all of the branches, not just Air Force.
