lol. thanks
Hale is 7mo old today. HOLY SHORT SPANIEL Batman!

I keep thinking "yeah but she'll grow". I'm slowly coming to the realization that she's not going to.

But hey, stocky, short chicks deserve love too!
Aren't you glad she didn't turn into a Barbie Doll Spaniel?

hey. HEY! It's just a silly comic strip. Take a step back, Drachy.

Easy for you to say. You know what's happening next.

*returns wave*
Twas the point. I know that I should've said something pertinent, but tis not my nature.

Dang. Missed her.

I penciled in a chapter of James Bovine, about 38 panels. Went shopping and left them all in an envelope in the grocery cart.

Called later and someone turned them in. *whew*
Extremely *whew*!

Just home from an emergency trip to the vet...Clarice started acting a bit odd this afternoon...just kept getting worse...poor little has an infected tooth....21 days of antibiotics and a trip to the doggie dentist....yikes...not looking forward to that bill.
Poor little . . .

Jennifer, great to hear you sound so keen on your new job.

Dan.....ya......well, don't know what to say, but I sure got a great chuckle outta our catch up post.

You may know this, but Canon does have a pair.
LINK
They get great reviews.
Haven't got those, but judging by my 15x45 and 10x30 non-L, they'll be simply amazing.

I have a pair of $50 bushnells that are serving me well. But I do like to window shop.
I have a pair of $50 Bushnell 8x40s and there's no comparison.

Street prices are about $1,000-$1,100.
I don't know. It would almost seem like for $1k you get a lot more optics then many Canon lenses of the same price. I tried out a pair and they really are great, so clear and bright. I bought the Canon 10x30 IS binos, and we are real happy with them. I think we paid around $400.
About what ours ran. And they're simply amazing, aren't they?

Great news - Dad was kicked out of the hospital tonight. He called a little bit ago and said they were on the way home.
Yay!

Great news on your dad Heather!
and a short Clarice update...one shot and half of a pill....you would think this is a different dog than was here just 6 hours ago. She sure rebounds fast.
And Yay!
Yo!

Chief, how did you find that? And do you know how to put the accent over the E?
Windows? Programs | Accessories | System Tools (I move a bunch of my most-used shortcuts like that one up a level). Or you can enable the US-International Keyboard (Control Panel | Regional and Language Options | Languages | Details, click on "Keyboards", then Ädd"US - International. Once you've enabled that, typing "a, or " e, "i, " o, "u gives you the ümlauted version; typing 'a 'c 'e 'i 'o ' u gives you á ç é í ó ú and using the `instead gives you è ì ò ù. Right-alt S gives you ß, and there are a bunch of others. To get a straight ' or " in front of one of their letters, you need to include a space after it. But any letter that isn't affected by the preceding " or ' doesn't need the space.

That's wonderful!
*sniffs and wipes some eye leakage* You're very special Deb.
Wow, that's uh....GREAT!

DEB!
LOL, Kody as a genetic gap. That makes him....less than human but higher on the evolutionary scale than primates....interesting!
Eeeks, I'm glad she'll be ok!
GADS! Thank goodness no one tried to decifer the comic from the middle.
Good gravy Cat, I thought I had a busy/productive day. You made me look like a lazy sloth!
Wonderful! I hope he decides to listen and not grumble too much.
And if you're on a laptop, you may need to add the Fn key to those you hold down.
Evening everyone, I am not long for this world. Hoping for a lovely, swift visit from the sand man.
If you're on a laptop you probably need to enable the embedded numeric keypad, which is a manufacturer's Fn key. Unless I'm on the road, my laptops all plug into real keyboards.

Hmm... I've been looking at getting a pair of Canon Bins. I get a bit confused about the 10x30 numbers (I know that one is zoom and the other is area of view, but I don't know what they'd appear like). I don't really want to go into a shop and experiment as I know I'll probably end up paying too much.
This room is the officer's quarters. That's why the woodwork is a little more ornate that the rest of the place.
For me, it's "Tum"

10x is the magnification, 30 is the diameter of the front element (think aperture). Magnification is, IIRC, canonically objective/ocular (or exit pupil). The bigger the front element for any given magnification, the brighter the view (the better the low-light performance). Field of View is a separate design characteristic, usually given in feet at 1000 ft. distance; you can think of it sort of as the image circle of your binoculars; you can have, say, 7x-something binoculars with a variety of FoV measures.

Impressive family....BTW, which one is you?
Here's an interesting photo
. They've mislabeled it as being from the 1930's, abut it's much earlier than that. Early 1920's or late teens would be much more like it. Anyway, I think any one of us would be proud to have taken it, regardless of era. (make sure you click on it to see it full size).
I'd definitely agree with your early post-Great War dating. Boaters and the skirt lengths, never mind the auto styles say that.
