Ive always enjoyed your work. TheReal7 wrote in post #11141852 Almost! If I stacked my 2 stop (RIP) 3 stop NDs and my 3 stop Reverse GND I'd get about 8 stops of ND. Most often not enough and I'd get heavy vignetting too stacking so many filters. Hope to remedy some of that with the 10 stop. Now the anxious waiting begins. At least I have NO free time in the future to shoot for myself and will probably get the filter before I do! Davis (Fred)

I absolutely understand the effect with water, clouds, etc. I see several photos in the string of still objects and I can't see where the effect has enhanced the photo.

Anyone care to enlighten me a bit? Thanks Still objects can be "isolated" from their busy surroundings. Busy street with a statue? 10-Stops will eliminate (or severely blur) all but those sitting for the duration of the exposure. Busy highway? 10-Stops can make the traffic almost entirely disappear. A "lightly" wavy lake in the mountains can appear smooth like glass.

Somehow I think it's still not quite enough. I'm kind of confused how you guys get so much lower shutter speeds from a 10x...

Will I be able to produce richer skies and remove more water surface glare? At the moment i have a hoya pro1 cpl and am interested in getting another to stack them. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Those are two stop and three stop filters, respectively. Add another 5 stops to your image above and you have a very long exposure.
