A great shot Camera. I love the shadows and how they draw your attentions to the rocks.

Thanks; as time went by I couldn't avoid having the shadow of the tripod or myself in the shots. I really want to get out here for a sunrise but I don't want to be trying to find those old pilons I am looking for in the dark.

Nice one; I love those reflections of the pier in the soft water. I hope you posted this in Julian's pier thread also?

Nothing special here but I got out a few weeks ago and I've just now had time to get some editing done.
Minor edits here, white balance, exposure, contrast and that's about it. I would call these test shots as they were all taken at the wrong time of day.

These two were taken in Westport, WA around Noon. I knew the light sucked but I wanted to see what kind of shutter times I could get with full day light. :)

Later in the day at Tumwater Falls. The lighting still sucked as it was broken clouds and the sun was hitting parts of the river. Still, I shot anyhow.

YES!!!!!!!!

Finally! After a year's worth of lusting, I now own a B+W ND1000!!!! Just got it in the mail at work.

I know...most of you are like "Why a year? The filter isn't that expensive!" Well, for me it is and it was a lot of hard work to be able to afford this. Even though I got it for $85 shipped too LOL

Now to find time to try it out!!

Just picked up the B+W 110. Figured I would share my very first shot with it. Taken off my balcony, nothing special really.

I also know it isn't really nature or landscape, but this is the only long exposure thread I've seen, so please bear with me

Never mind. I figured it out :) For those of you who may have been wondering the same thing, there's a lock on most shutter remotes (yes, even the cheap china ones like mine :P). What I DIDN'T know though, was that you could set it to bulb, press and lock the shutter remote and watch the timer on the top LCD. Now I know :D

If you haven't read up on MLU (mirror lock-up), you might want to learn how to use this feature, as well. It's helpful for getting rid of mirror slap vibrations during long exposures.

Nice series Kody; I love what these long exposures do to the water and sky! I am still hoping to get a nice cloudy and very windy day to get that crazy blurred sky!
