I'm in the same boat. I understand.

I waited half the summer for mine. Got it one week ago, and now it's all rain, rain, rain. And if it doesn't rain then it's still dark when I get home from work.

Really like that shot Kenny! Nice job removing the color cast! Looks like it was taken without any filter which is something a lot of people struggle with and is the reason you see a lot of b+w images with that filter! Well done.

I love mine, used it with my 16-35 a few times for lighting shots during crazy downpours... not a drop on my camera other than on the filter, dry camera/dry lens = happy photographer !!!!

Cheers Corey! I shoot in RAW & haven't had any trouble with color cast because of it.

I have actually had too many nice weather days, some free of clouds - this is why I haven't taken mine out much. I have been waiting for a free day with stormy weather actually!

The reflections really add to the shot Ryan. Great capture.

Hey guys,
There's some amazing shots here, and I want to give this a try. I currently have an ND4 to play around with, but it didn't really darken it enough for longer exposures during the day. But what I really want to try is some portraiture using my 50L and speedlights through modifiers. I want to be able to keep my aperture at f/1.2 to really blur that background out, while keeping the ISO at 100-200 and shutter at 250 or below.

I've done research, but not sure what filter to get.. I was thinking something like ND16, ND32 or ND64..? I don't want it to be too dark to completely darken the background, but not too light causing me not to be able to use my aperture at f/1.2.

This is a great example of that look Im looking for:

So any suggestions of what filter you all would recommend for this look?
Any help would be great! Thank you all! :D

The example says he used a 6 Stop ND filter.

Great work, everyone..!

I recently bought some ND filters; haven’t had any chance to play with them yet. Looking forward to experiment with ‘em soon.

Would that be too dark though? He did bump the ISO to 200.. I know I said I'd like to keep it from 100-200, but 100 would be better of course. So far I'm thinking ND16 or ND32 (64 might be too dark), and if I need any darker I can stack up the ND4 (Though, I want to avoid the risk of losing more image quality by stacking)..? Sorry, Im new at this, so I appreciate help :o !
