I use live view if the overall exposure is within 30Secs otherwise I use the iPhone app - Long Time Exposure Calculator (external link) and from there make a few exposures around this time and see what looks ok - shoot in RAW too helps.

Thanks for the Iphone app.

Any of you guys have experience ordering the Lee Big Stopper from Adorama? How long did it take once you purchased it before it shipped? I have a B+W 10 stop and it is great but am really curious to try the Lee Big Stopper. Wondering if i should order from the Bay or just wait on Adorama. Thanks!

I order one from 2filter.com about 8 months ago and finally got it last week. I luckily picked one up from BH about 2 months ago. Checked the site religiously everyday when I took lunch at work and luckily one day they had them in stock. They lasted about an hour ; ) Your best bet would be to sign up for them to notify you when they come into stock and then buy it as soon as they get them. I wouldn't pay three times as much for one on EBAY though. It's worth waiting. Good Luck!

Seems like the wait time once an order is placed is anywhere from 3-7 months depending on the length of the waiting list. I placed my order at a local store in October and I should hopefully get it in this months shipment (currently #2 on the list).

Here is another one of mine from yesterday. I used a B+W 110 ND and my Lee foundation kit with a Blue sunset grad to enhance the cool effect on the lower pool of water. The natural light fell exactly with the blue filter's line. Maybe a little too much. I like the result! I received the foundation kit for Christmas and was worried that i couldn't stack it with my other 77 filters but it worked like a charm. :) And on a side note, it looks like i found a Big Stopper in stock! We will see. :)

It's the B+W #110 ND 3.0, so it's 10 stops

Yes, thats the one i have as well but i just placed an order for the Big Stopper. I needed something i could put on my film camera and my digital so the Lee Foundation Kit was a must.

I am going to be selling a couple of B+W filters in pristine shape on the B/T here now. :)

I have a Kaesemann 77 CPL, the 10 stop (110), and a GND .6-4x (502) that i'll be selling. Probably as a kit.
