Thanks! Last week for 4 nights. My wife and I are entertaining the possibility of moving to Scotland to attend the University of Edinburgh. They hosted a meet-and-greet informational for those who had already been accepted, so we thought it best to be apart of it. flickr

This shot is a 3 image stitch, HDR blended. It's not as sharp as I'd have liked but it was taken in pretty strong winds.
Where is that?

We drove back on Saturday, during the blizzard and got stuck in Philadelphia. They measured 28.5 inches of snow. I honestly hope I never see another flake this year! Especially here in Raleigh! You know how even the slightest amount here turns things into a fiasco. Nice! I was there a few weeks ago and I didn't have a chance to shoot anything. Most of my time was spent with family.

I have seen the idea for welding glass elsewhere on the forum, did you have any issues with magenta colour cast? Criccieth Beach. Welding glass gives a pretty strong green cast actually. Pretty simple to resolve before RAW conversion. It's quite thick glass though and can let light creep in easily. Not bad for £2.99 though!

I also took this that "evening" (more like 4 in the afternoon).. It was actually my first time using the 17-40 since i bought it after christmas :P I have only been working with lenses longer then 50mm till now and doing mostly flowers and food .. Now im looking forward to summer!! This was fun.. But, i messed up with the aperture, so the background is actually oof, and it shows when viewed larger..

Oh yeah so it is, i knew i recognised it but couldn't quite place it, i think a sundown opp could be on the cards next time i am in Snowdonia.

Machinemart in Chester - they do them online too I think. They don't quite cover the whole diameter of a 77mm lens so extraeneous light intrusion is a problem.

I love this photo, awesome! I'm guessing you used some soft GND's as well and not just the ND filter?
