My first shot with my B+W 110. I didn't venture beyond 30s. Taken on the Big Island in Hawaii. Nice place to start learning to use a 10 stop. :D

Well done, I like the zig-zags of the beach. 30 seconds is usually long enough unless you're looking for a super glassy water look or want the clouds to be blurred.

If you have an iPhone or iPod touch there are some pretty good apps for helping calculate the exposure times.
I use one named NdDof and it seems pretty good.

I was really hoping that there was a good ND app for the Apple line...I wanted one for the iPad...but the Exposure Calculator for Android is by far better than the ones available for Apple products. It lets you fill in all the settings, and then it gives you an estimate on the exposure needed. It helped me learn how to do the math in my head.
