It lets you fill in all the settings, and then it gives you an estimate on the exposure needed. It helped me learn how to do the math in my head. Yeah, its a great ap for sure. And...its free!

A 9 or 10 stop ND filter usually eats too much light for lightning bolts to show up for me. The actual lightning is so fast, that the light doesn't have enough time to register in the exposure. I also get exposure times of much more than 10 seconds when shooting with ND filters at night. Nice lightning shot, though. Mark-B
