Yeah, I was wondering that too as I was scrolling through. Haha.
classic post and run. This is one thread on POTN that is usually not so bad about that.

Correct, that it's a different subject matter but I'm sure the photographer used a 9/10 stop ND. Many of the examples show maximum apertures in broad daylight with strobes, quite difficult without a ND filter to achieve.

Yeah but surely not a 9 or 10 stop ND? https://www.flickr.com/photos/jackhenriques/

Jul 16, 2014 17:36 | #6036 In this group listed below, they are shooting portraits with ND's of various density's and a strobe. If you are shooting in bright daylight, you need it. Not sure if any of them are at the density of this threads theme or not, though. Canon EOS R5, R, 7D mkII, 6D

Well, with a 10-stop and some serious flashes, we should be able to see of the model gets browner and browner (or maybe more red) between each shot, as being hit by that amount of flash is no fun. I would expect the model to go blind after the first flash pop. 10 stop does after all mean 1000 times more light for the same shutter speed 5DMk2 + BG-E6 | 40D + BG-E2N | 350D + BG-E3 + RC-1 | Elan 7E | Minolta Dimage 7U | (Gear thread)

JonKline Member More info | Jul 17, 2014 18:15 | #6042 I usually take my photos 24 times a second, but I used 10 stops of ND and slowed down to a reasonable 2 pictures per second for most of my timelapse video. I love how the long tails make the motion more fluid. Cinematographer Chicago
